Wind Developments
We Energies is undertaking several efforts to generate more energy from renewable resources. We are currently investing in wind, solar and biomass to meet customer demand and the state of Wisconsin’s Renewable Portfolio Standard.

Blue Sky Green Field Wind Energy Center
In May 2008, the Blue Sky Green Field Wind Energy Center began operating 88 wind turbines in the towns of Marshfield and Calumet in northeast Fond du Lac County. The site is designed to generate 145 megawatts of electricity, and is capable of powering more than 36,000 residential homes.

Proposed Glacier Hills Wind Park
The proposed Glacier Hills Wind Park is located in the towns of Randolph and Scott in Columbia County. The wind project is being designed to accommodate up to 90 wind turbines that would generate as much as 207 megawatts (MW) of electricity -- enough capacity to power approximately 45,000 homes. The final size and capacity of the project will depend on permit requirements, the turbine model installed and the configuration of the turbines.
