Where is the outside switch located and how big is it?

The switch typically is about 7 inches wide, 5 inches high and 4 inches deep. The switch is mounted on the outside of the house near the air conditioner (AC) compressor. The switch can be mounted on the compressor cover if you do not want it on the side of the house.

I have another box located near my outside compressor, what is it?

A separate disconnect box for the AC is required by electric code – typically, a metal box. Do not confuse your disconnect box with the Energy Partners device which is plastic and has lights on the front.
