Guarantee

If you enroll in Energy Partners and change your mind, you may end your participation at any time at no cost. In many cases, this can be done while you are on the phone. Once you have been deactivated, you cannot rejoin for 12 months.

We Energies will repair and/or replace your Energy Partners device as long as your account is actively enrolled in the Energy Partners program. The Energy Partners device is the property of the homeowner and is not the property of We Energies. If you are no longer participating in the Energy Partners program, we will not be responsible for any maintenance, repair, replacement or warranty of the Energy Partners device.

Should a qualified air conditioner (AC) dealer determine that an Energy Partners device caused damage to your central AC, We Energies pays for damages that it determines were caused by the device.

Any claim for repair costs must be supported by an itemized bill and a statement from the dealer identifying the problem’s nature and cause. If repair costs exceed actual value of the AC unit, we pay the lesser of the two.

Considerations

In some cases, Energy Partners participation is not advised or possible:

• If you or someone in your household has health problems that require central AC, we recommend that you should not participate. Consult your physician if you believe health might be compromised by enrolling in Energy Partners.
• In some cases, the radio signal is not adequate to activate the Energy Partners device due to radio signal interference. If no signal is received, you are informed that the Energy Partners device will not be installed.
• We discourage mobile home residents from participating. The design and construction of many mobile homes can lead to extremely uncomfortable—even health-threatening—heat when AC is cycled off.
• Energy Partners is not available north of Wisconsin Highway 64.

Program restrictions

• Homes with two AC units will be required to have both units controlled by a single Energy Partners device under the same option and receives a single bill credit. Homes with more than two compressors are not eligible.
• Rental properties are eligible for Energy Partners, but your landlord must give their approval to install the equipment on the property.
